What is Valtrex Valaciclovir (500mg) used forValaciclovir is an antiviral medication used to treat herpes simplex virus infections such as cold sores, shingles, and genital herpes. It works by stopping the growth and spread of the herpes virus, thus helping to alleviate symptoms and prevent future outbreaks.
